Does the AC Compressor Control Heat in the Car?
Car heat is not controlled by the air conditioning compressor. Together with the evaporator, condenser, and expansion valve, it circulates and compresses refrigerant to cool the vehicle in warm weather. In cold conditions, the heater core uses engine coolant to heat the system. In modern vehicles with climate control systems, a blend door or mixing valve regulates the temperature by adjusting the mix of hot and cold air, allowing users to adjust and maintain the desired interior temperature.
